Respirator company EASE have been helping at West Hertfordshire Hospitals during the COVID-19 public health emergency by providing crucial respirator testing services as well as “fit”testing for the staff using the equipment. On top of this absolutely critical work, as if it wasn’t enough, the team from Ease provided some light relief at Easter by donating and delivering over 600 chocolate eggs.
Darryl Horn of the WHHT Environment Division told Raise “These guys have been here every day for the last 6 or so weeks providing fit testing and Respirator testing and will be here for the foreseeable future and have kindly donated 600 Easter eggs to the trust. We have been handing these out to staff, and we all want to say a big thank you for their kind donation.”
At Raise we have been receiving contributions to West Hertfordshire’s three hospitals of a massive number and variety of items of food, drink, welfare goods and equipment. Hertfordshire companies and individuals, and those from further away (EASE are based in Basildon!), have been incredibly generous.
In addition, cash donations totalling £100,000 (including Gift Aid (tax relief)) have come through our JustGiving page.
David Head, one of the team working at Raise on coordinating the appeal, said “We are very grateful. The community response has been absolutely fantastic and absolutely crucial in helping the NHS staff at the three hospitals get through the current emergency.”
