Snack station donation from Bellway North London is booster for parents

The parents’ snack station in the neonatal unit at Watford General is looking nice and full after a fantastic £500 donation from housebuilder Bellway North London to Raise.

The snack station was created to provide food and drinks for parents who are not able to bring food with them when their baby is admitted to the neonatal unit.

New mum Katarina (pictured second right) said: “Having a baby in the special care baby unit is very challenging. Planning my daily meals is the last thing on my mind during these difficult times. It is so nice to be able to grab something small from the trolley or just to have a quick coffee to get a boost of energy without leaving the ward. Thank you so much for all the kind donations.”

“This wonderful donation couldn’t be more timely as our snacks and drinks station was virtually empty. Parents of poorly babies want to spend every moment by the cot side and often forget about their own health and wellbeing. So being able to grab snacks quickly and easily is so important.” Neonatal Matron Elvira Baker
