This July, raise money for your local NHS hospital by hosting an NHS Big Tea party.
Join the nation this July and host your own NHS Big Tea party to raise funds for West Herts Hospitals. You can brew up a storm on 5 July, the 75th birthday of the NHS, or any day that week. Why not put the kettle on and raise a cuppa as well as vital funds for our much loved national health service!
Whether you get together at home, at school, in the office, or in your local community, there are so many ways to raise money at an NHS Big Tea. From asking for donations in return for tea, cake and good company, to hosting a quiz, playing tea related games or running baking competitions. The possibili-teas are endless! Hosting an NHS Big Tea is a great way to bring communities together around a shared love of the NHS.
“Please put 5th July in your diary and take some time out to raise money for your local NHS hospital. This year is the 75th anniversary of the NHS, and we want to make the NHS Big Tea a special celebration and an opportunity for local people to say thank you to our wonderful health service. We look forward to seeing the nation coming together in July for this brilliant event.”Emily Theobald, senior fundraising officer
Everyone can get involved and every cuppa makes a difference. So, grab your teapot, pop the kettle on and let’s get brewing!

Why fundraise for Raise, West Herts Hospitals Charity?
The NHS Big Tea brings the nation together to fundraise and give something back to your local NHS hospital. You will be doing something amazing by fundraising for your local NHS hospitals across Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans.
Our hospitals depend on charitable support, and every day is a chance for you to make a difference. Your fundraising could be helping to pay for something big – like a special piece of equipment or the refurbishment of a bereavement room. Equally, you could be supporting a small comfort that makes all the difference such as books and activities for poorly children, or wellbeing support for our exhausted doctors and nurses. Whatever the need, we can help by working together.
