Daniel Bachmann meets West Herts Hospitals staff at Watford General

Chief Strategy & Collaboration Officer Toby Hyde shows the plans for the development to Daniel

Hornets club captain Daniel Bachmann met with West Herts staff after making a visit to Watford General on Thursday 23 May. The visit was the goalkeeper’s first as an ambassador for West Herts Hospitals Charity.

Daniel was shown around Starfish children’s ward and was given the chance to see a number of projects our charity is involved in fundraising for. This included a new wellbeing garden for patients and staff which is currently being created.

In addition, the skipper was also shown the ongoing plans for the new hospital development.

“It was great to see some of the projects past, present and future and I’ll be delighted to help out wherever I can, whether it’s raising awareness or being involved in fundraising initiatives,” said Bachmann.

“The new sensory room on the Starfish Ward is absolutely amazing so it was great to see that too.

“I’ll be at the Step Up event on Saturday so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting people involved that are trying to raise money and awareness for both West Herts Hospitals Charity and Watford FC CSE Trust.”

West Herts Hospitals Chief Executive, Alison Rosen added: “We were thrilled to welcome Dan Bachmann back to Watford General in his ambassador role to meet our amazing staff.

“His support for our initiatives is invaluable.

“With his help, we can rally the community to raise more funds for West Herts NHS and enhance patient care at West Herts Hospitals.”
