Raise runs specific appeals from time to time for things that need extra support or projects that run at specific times. Here are some ways you can help at the current time.
Raise is supporting our three hospitals in many ways as they deal with the COVID-19 public health emergency.
You can learn more about how you can help by donating or volunteering at https://www.raisewestherts.org.uk/covid.
The Chief Nurse Fund (2020)
2020 is The WHO Year of the Nurse and Midwife, and Raise is raising funds to support our wonderful nursing team here in West Hertfordshire.
You can learn more about the fund at this link.
The Rose Project (2019)
The Rose Project appeal is for funding for volunteers and volunteer training to support people in end-of-life care. This very special project was launched during Dying Matters Week in May 2019.
If you would like to learn more about this project, volunteer for the training, or make a donation, please visit the appeal page at this link.
Raise will always welcome gifts and donations from people wanting to help with very specific things, for example many people give money to help with the children’s wards or for certain equipment that needs to be purchased. However we also need money for our general fund, which we use in two ways.
- The running costs of the charity, including staffing, office costs, printing, running our website, insurances, our annual audit, and much more. All of these are critical if we are to succeed.
- Grant expenditure at the discretion of the Charity Committee, for example urgent needs at one of the hospitals, or equipment that needs replacing
If you would like to give to the General Fund, please visit www.justgiving.com/westhertfordshirenhs or send a cheque to the office address shown on the right.
