Raise has officially opened the doors to its new office at Watford General, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Wednesday 18 May. The office in Sycamore House was previously the League of Friends’ coffee shop, and the League’s Chair and former Mayor of Watford, Norman Tyrwhitt, and his wife, Mavis, were on hand to pass the fundraising baton to Raise.

The office, located at the Vicarage Road entrance of the hospital, is a big step forward for Raise which was founded in 1995; however the team have previously worked from temporary spaces including a two year period at the Town Hall until now. Raise’s courtyard also received a makeover from a local garden centre after Hanif and Selina Bharmal from Carpenders Park Garden Centre answered the charity’s call for help. They generously planted lavender, petunias, geraniums and lobelia, helping to make the office a welcoming space for supporters. Orbital Signs also kindly donated the signage.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our new office, please do pop in and say hello and find out how you can help us support our patients and staff.
