It is always sad to lose a loved one and nothing a charity can say or do will change the way family and friends feel about their loss. However, many people ask family and friends to make donations to a charity instead of purchasing flowers for a funeral, or simply as a way of remembering them on future anniversaries.
If you would like to support your hospital charity in this way you can ask that the Executor(s) of your Will organise this; this can be written in alongside your other preferences for your funeral arrangements.
If you are arranging a collection in memory of a loved one please let us know. We can provide suitable envelopes, gift aid declarations, and leaflets explaining to donors how their money is being used.
Often a Funeral Director will arrange a collection and forward funds to us as part of their service to the family; Raise will always acknowledge such gifts in writing to the Funeral Director and to family if so requested.
