COVID-19: Volunteer Hub Report 2020/21

A review of the first year of the COVID-19 Response Hub at Watford General Hospital has been published. What lessons were learned? What was achieved? What are the plans for the future?

On March 31st 2021, Voluntary Services marked the one-year anniversary of its COVID-19 Response Volunteer Hub. At the time of its creation, we didn’t know how useful volunteers could be during a pandemic. One year on, over 250 volunteers have given their time to support the West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, donating nearly 15,000 hours of care and dedication to the local community.

This report covers the achievements of the team during that time.
