How you can help
We have had many, very generous offers from our local community looking for a way they can help and support our hardworking NHS staff and volunteers during this unprecedented time.
We have set up a Just Giving page to allow Raise, our hospital charity, to accept donations and use the funds to make a real difference to the people who need it most in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Your kind donations will help us provide things like radios and toiletries for patients who may be in isolation, as well as refreshments and ways to unwind for all of the hardworking staff in our busy wards and departments. Our staff have said these items alongside the messages of kindness and support can give them a real boost and encouragement to keep going in the toughest times.
We are not able to accept donations without prior notification. If you would like to donate food or goods to our staff or patients you must email email@example.com to let us know. Please do not just turn up at our hospitals as we have strict visiting restrictions in place.
There are a few guidelines we have to follow to ensure the food has the best possible impact on our staff. In your email, please include your food hygiene certification. Information on allergens and ingredients must be printed and visible with the food. We also ask that food is packaged into meal size parcel portions and information in relation to storing and reheating, as well as use by date is present.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist us in a number of ways throughout the trust. To find out more please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, during the current situation we can only accept you as a volunteer if:
- You are well and have no symptoms like a cough or high temperature and neither does anybody in your household
- You are under 70
- You are not pregnant
- You do not have any long-term health conditions that make you vulnerable to coronavirus
Please remember, the biggest way everyone can help us at the moment is to abide by the latest government and NHS guidelines regarding social distancing and self-isolation.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate your help.
